Location
Where to stop, not where to begin, is the difficult task of describing the location of Inchimore Farm. The theme which runs through it all is the variety, the beauty and the music. It is the gateway to the south-west - both County Kerry and County Cork. The only way you can tell when you have crossed the county border just 5km from Inchimore Farm, is by looking at the road where the slightly different road surfaces are the clue. There are wild mountains all around contrasted by amazingly neat farms, golden sands, race courses, golf courses, sophisticated country houses and gardens, boat trips to see whales, seals and dolphins, a host of ancient sites - stone circles, standing stones, mass altars, mining sites and even a cable car to Dursey Island. You can see lots in a week, but would need years to explore in detail all the South West of Ireland has to offer.

The best view of our Village of Kilgarvan is from the old road to Kenmare. The church celebrated its centenary in 2008. It is 10km away from our farm. The street is lined with brightly painted buildings including the community hall with lovely plant troughs. There are two village stores, one with a filling station and post office, the other with a well stocked shop, fishing licences and a friendly greeting. The Village Grill provides basic meals and take-aways and there are six pubs some with live music. The highlights of the village year are the Music Festival in June and Kilgarvan Show in August.
